What is a Postal Match?

Before the internet, if friendly target shooters wanted to compete against one another they could either meet together and exchange targets, or they would participate in a Postal Match. Typically these contests were a standard course of fire that the participants shot, then mailed to the contest organizer for tally. Since the internet can provide us with nearly instant feedback, and we can trade many different targets, it seems to be an ideal format for the "Modern Postal Match".

June 2010 Results - Shooting for Flood Relief.

Thank You To Everyone!!!
I wanted to thank all participants for playing along this month. There were a total of 8 targets submitted this month. That by itself is $80 for the flood relief efforts of Hands on Nashville. Great shooting everyone. As you can see, Mr Borland had a perfect trifecta with three perfect scores. To celebrate, he was kind enough to make an additional $20 donation, AND he asked that I direct the money for the T-shirt prize to the donation as well. That's another $20. That makes a total donation of $120. Because I think Hands on Nashville is such a worthy group, I've decided to double our donation to a total of $240. I'll be sending the check off soon. I'm every little bit will be greatly appreciated.

See you in August.
