What is a Postal Match?

Before the internet, if friendly target shooters wanted to compete against one another they could either meet together and exchange targets, or they would participate in a Postal Match. Typically these contests were a standard course of fire that the participants shot, then mailed to the contest organizer for tally. Since the internet can provide us with nearly instant feedback, and we can trade many different targets, it seems to be an ideal format for the "Modern Postal Match".

Prizes for the February Match!!!!

Yes, that's right. Doc Wesson of The Gun Nation Podcast has cast his net and has come up with a prize for the winner of each class for this month's match. Each winner of each class will be given a Remora Holster. In the event of a tie, a random drawing will be taken for the winner of each class. Sorry you can only win one holster if you win more than one class. All decisions about prize winners will be made my yours truly. No substitutions.

For those of you who are familiar with The Gun Nation Podcast, one of Doc's feature reporters is Average Joe. According to Average Joe, this is a very comfortable holster that stays put thanks to the grippy texture of the outside of the holster. Check out Average Joe's review at Average Joe's Handgun Reviews blog.

Remora Holsters can be found at http://www.remoraholsters.com/.

So get out there and start shooting.
