5/2/2010 9am - To all in Middle Tennessee, Kentucky, and Northern Mississippi:
I hope that the flooding and rain has not harmed you greatly. We were caught in the I24 fllood yesterday, but were able to turn around and get off the roadway before we were washed away. Epic.
I tried to think of some clever theme for May, but let's all face it...the events, holidays, festivals, and trite ideas associated with May all pale when compared to remembering our fallen troops on Memorial Day. I have never been a member of the armed forces. I cannot imagine the sacrifices our men and women (and their families) of the armed forces have made, are making, and will make in the name of protecting our freedoms, our ideals, and our way of life. I can, however, tell you that all those who have served, who are serving, or who plan to serve in the armed forces of the United States of America get my utmost respect and admiration. My heartfelt appreciation is all I can really give.
Thank You.
A shooting match seems somewhat fitting if we are talking about honoring Memorial Day. Let's face it, the 2nd amendment is what allows us to enjoy shooting sports. The 2nd amendment would not have been possible but for the past, present and future sacrifices of our military.
This month's match will blend of all the skills we have worked on thus far - two hands, strong hand, weak hand and distance.
Instructions:
10 yardsThree (3) shots TWO HANDS on Large Star
Three (3) shots STRONG HAND on Small Star on the RIGHT
Three (3) shots WEAK HAND on Small Star on the LEFT
Max Score = 180
This is most fitting.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to shoot it, even if I have to skip work to do so.
Thank you
